Sagentia Aviation, formerly Osprey, is pleased to announce that it has been granted Approved Procedure Design Organisation (APDO) status by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), to design both conventional and satellite based Instrument Flight Procedures (IFP).
Until now Sagentia Aviation has been providing this service as an APDO under the name of gCAP, a company that was acquired in December 2017.
The UK CAA conducted an audit of Sagentia Aviation’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that the processes and procedures used by the IFP design team satisfied regulatory requirements and quality standards. As a result, a new APDO authorisation was granted by the CAA on 17 July 2020.
Mark Wakeman, Operations Director at Sagentia Aviation said “This is a fantastic achievement for our IFPD team and marks the culmination of a great deal of work following the acquisition of gCAP in 2017. Our in-house IFPD team continues to grow, allowing us to provide a range of IFP design experience and safeguarding assessment services currently unrivalled in the market. Having one of the UK’s largest design teams allows us to be extremely responsive to the needs of our clients, and provides them with an exceptional level of service.”
