Establishing a water management ecosystem

Our client in the engineering industry wanted to establish a water management ecosystem to help the company achieve its sustainability goal along its value chain.

The project story:

We started the project by creating an ecosystem framework specifically designed to meet the client’s key objectives. Internal interviews were then carried out to establish the client’s existing internal capabilities in water management, as well as key external contacts. This also helped us to identify key areas containing gaps that needed to be addressed.

This was followed by a systematic program of research, designed to identify potential external partners, including experts and other organisations, who were shortlisted and approached to assess their willingness to engage and align with the client’s key objectives.

Results: deliverables and outcomes

We provided insights from the study which helped the client develop an ongoing water management strategy. Several of the potential partners identified and evaluated as key priority targets engaged with the client in forming their water management ecosystem. They are now involved in the development of ongoing projects in this area.
