To be responsive to this business growth opportunity, the client was looking for food ingredients and technologies that enable consumer health benefit to support the positioning of its nutritional products. It also wanted to identify technology solutions and providers that could be partners in this innovation initiative.
We reviewed published human clinical trials to identify ingredients that were shown to have a positive impact on the priority health areas. A small number of ingredients were shortlisted for a more in-depth review of the quantity and quality of scientific evidence supporting their health benefits.
Recommendations were provided on the most promising ingredients for the client’s new-product development plans.
