Novel deception technology “show the false”

Background and requirement:

Sagentia Defence were engaged by DASA to develop a novel deception technology to “show the false”, in response to the DASA Contemporary Deception competition

Approach:

• The technology was developed over four months by our Physics and Electronics teams and involved extensive testing to create the desired effect.
• The technology was successfully demonstrated at TRL 5 to Army and Dstl stakeholders and gathered praise for the realism and the flexibility of the deception delivered.
• We are currently in discussions with DASA and the Army to develop the technology to TRL 7.

Outcome:

• The technology was demonstrated effectively to Army and Dstl stakeholders and gathered praise for its realism and flexibility
• The technology could help support the Chief of the General Staff’s objective to double the lethality of the Army by 2027.
