Smart metering cloud service platform

Our client asked:

A smart metering platform to enable a client to market their first managed service offering in the smart metering space. This enables our client to operate their own enterprise software architecture by leveraging Software-as-a-Service cloud technology and 24x7x365 services.

The project story:

  • This programme involved four simultaneous, large-scale, interrelated projects, operated by personnel from three other organisations (including the client)
  • Sagentia Innovation was responsible for managing and delivering this programme of projects
  • The system architecture to support the four projects was developed by Sagentia Innovation, and the supporting software and hardware architectures for the platform were developed by Sagentia Innovation in partnership with our client
  • Server software design and implementation were undertaken by Sagentia Innovation, including the roll-out of the DevOps environment
  • Firmware design and implementation were undertaken by Sagentia Innovation in partnership with our client and their subcontractors
  • iOS application user experience definition, design, and implementation.
