The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) recently released an updated version of it’s Technical Agreements for Biocides (TAB) – Environment.

This latest edition of the TAB, the first since October 2022, consolidates nearly three years of technical decisions made during ECHA Working Group meetings.

While some updates are minor or editorial in scope, others introduce significant changes – such as new environmental exposure scenarios and a requirement for bee risk assessments for PT 19 outdoor air space repellents. In most cases, these updates already apply to both biocidal active substances and products.

What do the updated Technical Agreements for Biocides mean for you?

If you are preparing or have recently submitted a dossier, it is essential to review the revised TAB to assess potential impacts. Some changes may require adjustments to your risk assessments or additional post-submission work.
